Spiritism of the Occult

Some estimate over 13 million Americans are active participants in this movement to certain degrees. Beliefs and philosophies of New Agers:

•  All is one and all is God.

•  Oneness with the devine.

•  Meditation oneness with all things in the universe.

•  Some may worship nature and creation.

•  Astrology and necromancy.

•  Palm readings and tarot cards, etc.

•  Consulting psychics and channeling spirits. 

•  Possible spirit guides like witchcraft practices.

•  Pick and choose from both the Bible and other holy books.

•  Philosophy from Krishna and Buddhism.

•  Some beliefs from Hinduism and other world religions.

•  They may believe Jesus Christ was an enlightened person.

•  New Agers claim there is no sin, and so there is no need for salvation.

•  They pick and choose what they believe from many sources.

•  Enlightenment and reincarnation.

•  Discovering their own set of values.
•  Awareness of their own inner divinity.
•  Yoga clearing of mind meditation.

•   Practice of using crystals spiritually.

•  Psychic skills and spiritual energy.

•  Mantras, and other methods connecting to the divine force and energy.

Christian Scripture Response

In reincarnation one can be punished by karma for things they can't recall having committed in previous lives.

'For every human lives once, dies once, and then faces the judgment'. Hebrews 9

Saul had put the mediums and the necromancers out of the land. 1 Samuel 28

Do not turn to mediums or necromancers; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God. Leviticus 19

A number of them who had been practicing sorcery brought their incantation books and burned them at a public bonfire. The value of the books was several million dollars. Acts 19

And do not let your people practice fortune-telling, or use sorcery, or interpret omens, or engage in witchcraft, or cast spells, or function as mediums or psychics, or call forth the spirits of the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord. Deuteronomy 18

How serious of a sin these occult practices are, but the Lord gives His grace and love. We all need to ask for forgiveness of our sins and if there are any paganistic practices in your life you need to repent of, and follow Christ for eternal life and His power through you: 

Men and women among you who act as mediums or who consult the spirits of the dead must be put to death by stoning. They are guilty of a capital offense.” Leviticus 20 

You must not allow a sorceress to live. Exodus 22

This belief system involves a mixed bag of occult practices, with really no hope and purpose, pretending to possibly live in other lives, reincarnation etc.

These occult practices are against the Lord's plan and will for your life. If you desire to make it right with Him, stop your occult activities and follow Jesus Christ, or be saved first, then have Him help you keep from practicing the occult, starting by reading the Bible.

If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7

Repent, therefore, of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that, if possible, the intent of your heart may be forgiven you. Acts 8

 WICCA 

Wicca practices a degree of Witchcraft, and nature worship. This religion is an earth-centered nature based pagan or neo-paganism practice. 

Witchcraft and Wicca may both practice channeling. The definition of channeling, is the ability to communicate with spirit guides, angels, ascended beings in spiritual realms.

For most Wiccan's it's the practice of rituals and observations including festival celebrations, solstices, equinoxes, and initiation ceremonies. There is worshiping of both a female mother goddess and a horned male god. There is also some usage of spells, incense and crystals in religious rituals. There is some aspects of herbalism mixed with nature rituals and practices. In addition, many groups in Wicca believe in reincarnation afterlife, Wiccans powers, and unfortunately, most worship the creation, instead of the one that Created everything. 

Other Wiccan beliefs are polytheistic, atheist, and pantheist with rituals of holidays centered around the moon, and other elements such as air, fire, water and the earth environments.

Christian Scripture Response 

We should take care of the earth the Lord has made, but not at the cost of rejecting the Maker, Jesus Christ. The Bible says that the spirits of the dead are not actually wandering around or hanging out in their graves on earth. There are two specific destinations where spirits go and the Scriptures call this place hell (torment) and the other heaven (paradise, God's kingdom).

If this means that the spirits of dead people are not wandering around on earth. Then, who are you connected with,.. evil demons (spirit guides you call them) that want to kill, steal and destroy you?

Are you convinced the spirit-guides are good?

Why would you invite and welcome demons into your life and communicate with them, if they hate you?

You are very valuable to the Lord. He designed you, went to the Cross to redeem you and He offered you the Free gift of salvation.

There is essentially three main styles or sects of Satanist practices—Reactive, Theistic, and Rationalistic Satanism—and many other less known smaller Satanism beliefs which follow other pathways. In addition, there's also Atheistic Satanist Darwinists, under the category, super natural and non-supernatural. Certain satanist groups, might even be Neo-Nazi and white supremacists to varying degrees.

One of the three popular Satanic beliefs or sects is with Anton Szandor LaVey, which was a well-known Satanist and the founder of the COS (Church of Satan) religious movement. Some Satanists do not follow the COS or may only select some of these practices from this founder and church.

Most practicing Satanists will say they don't worship Satan (the Devil), or even believe Satan exists. They only use the name or title, and make it appear to the public, more like a sci-fi fan club (even if they say it isn't one). In reality, it is essentially a religious fan club, venerating the devil.

Like above, many sects or believers of Satanism claim they do not worship Satan (the Devil) and that he doesn't even exist. However, any form of Satanism leads to veneration or idolatry, worship of a real existing Satan, and becoming a child of Satan. 

You are indeed inviting him into your surroundings for oppression and potential demonic possession for yourself and people around you, no matter how much you deny his existence and continue to pretend to use and lift his name and character. 

The majority of Satanists believe there is no higher power or entity and are indeed Atheists. Some of the people in the groups participate for the purpose or agenda of having something to belong to, and possibly secondarily, to them, it's more of a fun rebellion, the feeling of power,  and celebration against the beliefs of Christianity and the Bible. 

Parents need to be aware of this dangerous Satanic club activity offered in some public schools. You may be taking the risk of inviting demon spirits in to your home, your souls, and to disrupt and oppress your lives with a dark presence and atmosphere that may begin slowly and without anything obvious. This is no game, same goes with New Age, Wicca or Witchcraft.

The Satanists practice and worship the fallen angel in satanic rituals. The Creator God originally made a beautiful, amazing, holy angel named Lucifer. After his fall and prideful rebellion he is also referred to as Satan, Son of Perdition, Devil or still to some, Lucifer. Satanists might honor him by the expression "Hail Satan" as powerful.

Christian Response and Scripture

There is a literal Satan, he does exist. By saying Hail Satan, they are actually greeting and welcoming the real existing Satan, not a pretend action.  Most Satanists need to acknowledge this fact and not just think it's some sort of religious experience or social practice. The real Satan wants to deceive, steal, kill and destroy you in whatever form of delusion he can, and take your soul to a real existing hell. Satan has you easily deceived and fooled, believing he doesn't exist.

According to the Bible, demons seek to live and occupy people that may invite them intentionally or unintentionally in to their life by --- pursuing wickedness and evil, selling your soul to the devil in a sense, and with the use of objects like statues, spirit boards and other occult tools and practices.

Satan followers overlook the fact that he was created as an angel, and has limited power, knowledge, and abilities. Satan essentially may only do things if the Creator God allows or gives permission to, as he did in the Bible, within the book of Job, and other passages. Many Satanists believe they are not literally worshiping Satan or the Devil, and Satan does not actually exist. It's more of a personal and religious practice.

Satan is no match to the all powerful, all knowing Creator and Jesus Christ. God could also eliminate or control Satan as he pleases, as Jesus Christ shall do, as spoken of in the book of Revelations.

Satan using many strategies, including: spiritual darkness, religiosity, distorting laws and Scripture (the Gospel). Additionally, good works, false teaching, magic, sorcery, deception, manipulation, fake miracles, stealing, killing, fake peace and security, or peace and prosperity. 

Satan the father of lies,  has always been active since Adam and Eve, in deception, lying, and counterfeiting to achieve many of these goals and agendas listed: 

•  Blaspheme the Creator Almighty God Jesus Christ.

•  Pretend like and desire to be Almighty God.

•  Imitate being some sort of tri-une god.

•  Appear to be like a God over the kingdoms of the world.

•  Temporary future world leader for a few years.

•  Act as if he is The Prophet.

•  Counterfeit future Messiah or God.

•  Pretend he is all knowing and possibly omnipresent.

•  Attempts to destroy the Lords creation when possible.

•  Distract, and deceive people away from the Good News of salvation in Jesus Christ.

•. Satan's  agenda and goal to bring you to hell where he is forever.

•  To kill, steal, and destroy.

•  Temptation and demon oppression of people, as God may permit.

•  Demon possession for certan unbelievers, upon a person's choices, and actions. This includes, but not limited to; occult practices, and some cult involvement, and if God allows it to be.

Satan hates you, he wants to manipulate, deceive, kill, steal and destroy you if he can in may ways.

There was one person the devil could never manipulate, deceive, or out smart --- this is God incarnate Jesus Christ.

Satan will have a final judgement to be bound and placed in the chained bottomless pit by the Creator for a thousand years, then satan's destiny will be the conclusion of his punishment. There will no longer be evil, death and suffering, in the new earth the Creator will design.

What is white Witchcraft or black Witchcraft beliefs?

Some groups or individuals practicing Wicca or Witchcraft may be generational witches, and depending on the culture and country, and like Satanism, there's a spectrum of differences.

Witchcraft believes there is a feeling of power, or control, and sometimes doing manipulation of other people, apparently gives them this superficial temporary expression and significance...

Possibly connecting with nature, some people practicing  Witchcraft might do self cutting and, exercise or the invocation of alleged supernatural powers to control people or events. They may involve astro projection, tarot cards or future readings. Getting help from your personal spirit-guide and doing meditation. Some do witch craft spells and sacrifices in different ways, like so-called love spells or forms of  black magic spells. Some in the modern day, especially in the U.S., even claim to be a "Christian" witch, but are actually misinformed on the Bible, or deceived, and truly commiting idolatry or spiritual adultery.

Like Wicca, some people in Witchcraft might practice channeling. The meaning of channeling, is attempting to communicate with the paranormal -- dead people, spirit guides, angels, and ascended beings in spiritual realms.

Christian Response and Scripture

Any Wiccans or Witches that may convince themselves and claim they are some sort of Christian Witch or follow the Creator God, are in denial of what the Bible says on the sorcery topic. They are truly not saved and actually fooling themselves believing they are. You cannot be with Christ and with the evil practices of the occult, being on Jesus' side of the gate and Satan's side as well. We are fully with Jesus or against Him.

There's more power in Christ your Creator and Savior, than what you feel or pretend to have in Witchcraft. A spirit guide may appear as an angel of light (that's actually demonic), and not a good or Godly angel as  you have been told or experienced. Spiritual warfare is occuring and there is an increased potential for you to have demon oppression or possession, which is a very dangerous position to place yourself in, and people around you...

When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to Samaria. When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit had not yet come on any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money and said, “Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”

Peter answered: “May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money! You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God. Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord in the hope that he may forgive you for having such a thought in your heart. For I see that you are full of bitterness and captive to sin.”

Then Simon answered, “Pray to the Lord for me so that nothing you have said may happen to me.” Acts 8
